Hide local disk drive of computer

Many people might don’t know how to hide disk drives manually without using any software and we find many software in the internet to lock or hide local hard disks of computer/laptop. But you know without any software, we can hide local disk drives in few seconds of time by using this simple trick.

Just follow these simple steps:

 

1. In start menu go to RUN (Press window key + R) and type CMD.
2. In this window type DISKPART and press enter.
3. Now type LIST VOLUME and press enter. (Display the list of all your volume/drive)
4. To hide a drive just type SELECT VOLUME 2 (any drive you want to select).
5. Then type REMOVE LETTER H (You should type the volume name instead of H)
6. The drive will now get hidden (check in MY COMPUTER/COMPUTER).
7. To unhide the drive follow the same steps 1-4 as mentioned above.
8. Then type ASSIGN LETTER H (You should type the volume name instead of H).
9. Now your hidden drive will be visible.
